Think of a film, think of the main character, think of what he did next.

I can’t really believe it’s never been tagged! In fact, I think when I played recently I passed it and considered it but just assumed it wouldbe a re-tag.

Wait, there's an Edinburgh map?
https://www.lfgss.com/comments/15978609/
I thought it's worth mentioning here because I think it's the first tag map outside London. @Polka_Dot started the Edinburgh thread not so long ago (because tagging in Glasgow was slow) and it's really lovely to follow.

Profumo was portrayed by Ian McKellen in the film Scandal. Polly Toynbee writes for the Guardian.
I'm reading Francis Wheen's biography of Tom Driberg and last night came across a reference to Attlee as having "Toynbee Hall socialism".

I love that Stormtrooper on the balcony, plus the spotted cow on the balcony of the house over the road from it.

The old tag is possibly the oldest bollard in London, at St. Helen's Church, Great St. Helens. It's a cannon captured from a French ship in the 18th century, embedded in the ground. I gather this was how the early London bollards were created and you can see how the shape of later bollards echoed it.
At the right time of day, it stands literally in the shadow of the Gherkin. Since this tag is overflowing with phallic imagery, it seems appropriate that the road running from the tag to the Gherkin is called "Undershaft".

Luckily I have a bizarre memory for random facts, plus the cylinder clue helped.
@Greenbank there's a hidden Batman statue behind some houses in Putney too, but its not accessible to the public I think. -

I read this as massive sarcasm and thought 'wow, harsh'. Then it turned out to be a genuine statement and now I worry about my own levels of cynicism.
I found it, it's right near my office, trouble is I've no idea when my office will reopen... I've no idea where your clues were going, but the amount of blue plaque you showed was just enough to match it.
