One of the guys that fixed our boiler was of the opinion that from a maintenance and longevity POV older boilers were better.
I wonder if part of that is that the shit ones and poorly made ones have already gone. But in any event his point was that you need a lot of energy savings to negate the cost of a new one.
Hmm. I haven't had it serviced in a few years. Maybe I should. It mostly works though.
