Hopefully heading up to Glasgow on the train next Saturday & setting off on this with my partner:

Taking a tent & planning to wild camp half the time & have hotels booked for the other nights. All with free cancellation as you can never can tell with the weather - might have to sack the entire trip off if there's not an improvement in the forecast :(

Where are you planning to wild camp? It's banned in some places on the route you've got there, mainly around the Trossachs but possibly elsewhere.

I'd heard of that & consulted a map on the banned areas the other day & it didn't look too restrictive. Do need to properly cross-reference with the route though & figure out where we'll be wanting to pitch up.
