DDR2? DDR3? Your best chance is a good quality SSD and then RAM.

Hey, yes, I did a fresh windows install on a new SSD just this evening!
I think it has DDR3 installed at the moment. So I think that's what I'm after. Wondering if DDR4 would work?

You need to check your motherboard model and what max it can take on the manufacturer website. Most likely it will be DDR3, it won't take DDR4 for sure. Sadly nothing laying around but maybe someone else will have for you.
Looking to upgrade the ram on my 10year old pc. It currently has 3x2gb ram in at the moment and looking to upgrade it to 16gb.
