My local chimney sweep (golf club trololol) is called Smudge and i love him. He’s a proper character with a shady past and a story for every subject who found peace in hoovering soot out of the Chimeys of Medway and East Kent.

Anyway, we’d used him a few times before I twigged his business was called UP YOURS. Noice!

There’s a scaffold firm in North London somewhere that says ‘for a strong, safe erection call Steve 020........’ on their hiviz. Shame I can’t remember the name.

Every time I cycle past the scaffolding firm on Layhams Road (Martini Scaffolding) I’m in awe of their logo which is a woman erecting some scaffolding, on roller skates.

The best thing about scaffolders is the weird songs or fragments of songs that you hear as the job is going on. Legit have some ear worms that still loop in my head after over a decade.

I kinda miss being on sites sometimes.
Scaff boys are definitely king of the hill, lots of laughing and joking whereas the groundworks/digger mobs are usually miserable shits in my experience.
I did my industrial access course with a few scaffolders, their head for heights is second to none.
It also appears to be the trade that gives the best workout as they’re always ripped.
