One of the things I miss the most from the North East is the greasy chewy massive takeaway pizza. Never really found anywhere I've lived in London to make a good comparison. London Pizza (margherita with chips on), kebab calzones, parmo pizzas (parmos in general) and the Ilhan's Special which was available from two independent places on Chillingham Road in Newcastle, only came stuffed crust, with chicken tikka and pepperoni then sesame seeds stuck to the crust. All absolute masterpieces of Italian cuisine. The garlic sauce in London is also hugely dissapointing.
