I advertised two kids' bikes separately on marketplace last week. In the ad I wrote "if you are seeing this ad the bike is still available". It didn't work as well as I'd hoped but they did sell and were deleted immediately afterwards.

To be fair, the default first text that it suggests is something like "Is this still available?" and I have been guilty of using that when nabbing cheap tat for mini_com

The Facebook market place suggested responses are really abrupt. There’s no foreplay - straight to the point.
