Car appreciation... the aesthetics, the engineering, etc

I drove a version of this engine in my dad’s Peugeot van and merging into traffic was terrifying. Dated is definitely the word, dangerous and obsolete would be a couple of others. An absence of power is one thing, I drove aircooled VWs for years, but the sheer reluctance of a NA diesel is rotten.
