Is there a way I could make a 26"er bike fit both a 6' and a 4'6" person well? Butterfly bars and QR seat clamp?
Alternatively considering an Orbea Katu, possibly the e-bike version, as an always-outside rub-around. Those only comes in one size and has a quill stem. Is there such a thing as a QR quill stem?

Hipster sled.

I reckon it needs more botique parts for that. There isn't a small american machinist/maker to be seen on that bike :D

I would defer to your greater knowledge of the LFGSS subgenres but it looks like the Hipster Sled cap fits to me. Whatever it is, it is not FBNPNA.
So I keep coming across bikes like this I like, they're not porn, not
anti, not rat/beater/frankenbikes, trick, Lo-Pros or polo bikes...So I thought it was about time we had a thread to discuss and admire
our favourite guilty pleasures... I'm not talking HHSB as in colour
coded everything, supreme stickers and ironic saddle angle.... Just
something kind of awesome that you would actually own or ride.Welcome to the HHSB thread!

New Klunker bars and some other changes. Also got a front wheel with an SP dyno hub and an IQX waiting to be put on the bike.

Think my LHT counts as functional now: Albatross bars, Wald 139, bent Tubus rack (my fault), easy 1x9 setup, cheap Conti tyres, cheap frame pump.
The stupid stem, frame-mounted speaker and lack of a light to match the dyno hub are less functional, maybe. Basket is a bit high too.

Wrong thread.

Get the basket on a front rack and that'll be pushing brilliant.

Anyone come across LKLM bikes in the UK. Look like well thought out touring frames, Can't see any UK distrobution though.

I really like the look of the step through as my new kiddy/grocery hauler.

I have never heard of LKLM bikes, but the Marin Larkspur might be a good alternative?

After a canti frame really that I can just swap all the bits on to from my current 80mtb conversion. Disc upgrade option would be nice but I can't see my current wheels dying any time soon and I love my 3x10 thumbshifters.
Another MTB frame might do but I'm after touring bike levels of stiffness.

Why would anyone make custom derailleurs when modern electronic shifting works extremely well? It’s a bit like driving a car with manual transmission even though the latest automatics are very sophisticated. It’s about being involved in the operation of my bike, rather than just pushing a button. There’s a joy in feeling the gears engage perfectly because I – and not a computer – timed the shift perfectly.
...
And then I get a crunch, because even the best systems don’t shift that well with very high power outputs.
....
I don’t need to shift under load -

I am actually very pro electronic gears on road bikes.
I understand that 'joy' wankery comes from a very campag place but fuck having to replace cables.
