  • Don't eat loads and feel lathergic. Bring spare oil, was surprised how much I burnt (old car). Don't put the handbrake on straight after being on track. Ex-aerodrome tracks are great with ample run offs for beginners. Check your exhaust db level before getting on track (mobile phone app), you will be sent home. If you can get some tuition or seat time with an instructor well worth it. Dont crash.

  • This. Other than making sure your car will meet the noise limits, it's all pretty much common sense. Make sure the car's in a good condition, make sure you've got a helmet or have one available, and don't think that enthusiasm will allow you to ignore the laws of physics. And take a spare pair of underpants just in case you forget the last bit!
