• Its very common on MTB’s, but Invisiframe make kits that are cut to specifically fit the make/model of frame, so once all the pieces are applied, it has almost full coverage. There are gaps between the pieces, but when applied correctly the gaps are uniform and it looks fine. (Kind of like how the gaps inbetween panels of cars look when fitted well as opposed to fitted on the piss). You can fit pre cut invisiframe kits yourself if you have a decent eye for detail and patience. If you tend to rush things I’d get someone else to do it.

    I don’t think anyone makes kits specific to roadbikes, as there is not much demand, and just so many different makes/models of frame. Apparently these guys do the best job in the UK when it comes to custom cut kits for road bikes: https://www.cyclewrap.co.uk/

    I’ve never used them though as I’m not fussy over paint chips. Paint gets chipped. It’s just a fact of life. Just learning to live with it is the best option IMHO. Shit happens, innit.
