    I'm in that club also. If by some amazing combination of wrong choices I end up racing XC I can always swap tyres. But, given I don't have the bike yet, I think this is a bit premature. :)

  • Yeh word! Someone said yesterday about my Scott ‘you might want to swap the bars, post etc for xc, they’re a bit heavy’ and I pointed out I was 91kg so it might not help!

    Out of interest how long typically would a lap be for a 12/24hr type race? We’re planning a 12hr fundraiser for our local track around the park and the best loop I’ve found is 2.2km with 50m climbing, some single track descent, bit of flat easy path and a fire road type climb. I’m sure it’ll get repetitive but is that too short a lap?
