It's almost as if all those much-hyped UK time triallists who've raced at World level haven't had their arses handed to them on a plate over the past fifty years.

You can count the number of British riders who've performed well in time trials in Europe on the fingers of one hand.

I wasn’t making a point about nationality per se. More that, in a country where there’s a limited pool of pros, you’d expect him to do better were he a decent tester.
