With that clearance you have to change your heli tape after every ride?
Unless there is a built in seat tube protector.
Would be quite funny to gravel sand a hole in your budget friendly aero adventure bike. -
• #18778
think the way the top tube bag is halfway down the tube because of cables is what sucks the most

top tube bag
Capacity - one gel and a funsize snickers.
Such an annoying bike.

one gel and a funsize snickers
... and one tiny coke

My 650x50 is just rubbing the electrical tape on the inside of the fork 'now and then'.
So, if you're only riding in the dry then tight clearances aren't always an issue.

I want to see "after" photos though. I don't trust any gravel bike build that is cleaner than my fucking road bike.

Just realised that is quite a gamble for a multiday ultra event in a foreign country with the weather becoming more and more unpredictable. I mean, if you get caught out with a bit of rain and all of the dust becomes instant clay, you'd struggle to walk that bike!

Yeah, on the other hand, if it's an Aussie and they're in the 15th year of their local drought, then it's probably a safe bet.
I've managed to ride my bike without dying with stupid clearances for the last x months.

I assume this is a US build and they're somewhere hot and rocky and have a missus with a big pickup truck to come and get them if rain did surprise them OR this bike is never ridden past the cafe, lest it be dirtied.
-
• #18786
Or it's never been ridden and just gets rolled out for insta shots.

That's what this meant: https://www.lfgss.com/comments/15966741/

Oh, I wouldn't run this setup for a race btw. It's obviously too close for comfort when you can't choose if you're riding on a given day or not.

Equally stupid setup, this was me in the dust yesterday.

It looks like you walked into Gravel R Us and asked for one of everything.
-
• #18791
not everything, there doesn't seem to be a bar bag.
-
• #18792
But you gotta be happy it's 2x now?
-
• #18793
Stupid rear drilling on the fork means no bars are possible as that's where I'm hanging my lights.
