What’s the sort of 90 degree rubber thing in the front mech packaging for? Just for avoiding sharp bends in the cable or also protecting it? How do I fit it?

Goes over the cable entry to the front mech I think. That’s where I shoved it anyway

Thanks. Didn't come with the last R8050 front mech I bought but it's a smart idea.

Ha! I found this in the box when I packed it up to sell and wondered what it was for.

Front derailleurs.. those were the days 🤣
