Can anyone recommend a conveyancing solicitor they've used recently? Looking to move and want to get on the front foot. The estate agent recommended a few but I read it's sometimes best to get recommendations. (Apols if there is one already on the forum- I did check and didn't see anything).

Claire Fountain and her team at TWM in Fulham were really good late last year but they are not the cheapest.

Do you want some house with those plug sockets? https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/65826048#/media?id=media0

Blimey - amazing. Can't even think what that's all for. And so uneven.
'Exquisite' - sure, Mr estate agent.

Who would want such well illuminated knees? I am really curious as to what required so much power and horizontal spots. Or are they just using halogen spots for heating?

Maybe...maybe they were shooting movies of some kind...
-

Yeah it's the weird plug height spots that got me. Proper WTF territory and taking most of those out properly and making good would be a nightmare.

The more I look the less I understand - especially the sockets literally halfway up the wall.
Best guess so far is previous occupant was a salesperson for a socket and switch company and wanted to live the brand...

TVs and related coax / sat / cable connections isn't it? Just many, many TVs. And sockets for the lights that illuminate the TVs.
wiring it all up must have been fun.
Good reminder of the dangers of selling an empty place.

Deeply deeply odd. Bitcoin farm or being used as some kind of illegal office ? The lights though - just bizarre
-
• #45840
That's brilliant. Having just refurbished and been through minor anxiety about not fitting enough sockets, I'm now confident less is more.

some kind of illegal weed farm ?
might explain the ludicrous capacity for lighting
-
• #45842
Yeah some odd design choices there.

This I think is the answer. Prob an Xbox in every room type family.

Is it because you’re terrified of the things we eat here called vegetables?

Saw that today too, I actually think it’s ok value for money considering the living space. Stratford was a mixed bag last time I went there for sure, but the wick and Olympic park are next door.

is not all just pie mash eels and ale

But then you just get blasted in the eyes by a million spots whilst you're sat on the sofa? I can only imagine there were desks around the edge and the workers requested that they had good illumination and heat on the undercarriage.
