There's a really good tutorial by Cyclist magazine on bleeding SRAM HRD, even explains how to set the bite point. My brakes have never felt better.

Also anyone running 4 piston brakes should buy a piston release tool, they make servicing the caliper a doddle.

This kind of thing for the piston release tool, but chances are there's one that fits your caliper. Not sure why they're not more common.

I feel your pain, have done more than a handful replacements after theft.

Not much to go on for single speed drop bars setup, loads of options for flat bars though...

Purple with neon yellow is the one

The bike shop's description of "in stock" seems to differ wildly from mine. 6-weeks delivery.

Now I'm actually considering purple and changing the BB and seat clamp to match. Please stop me.

Hope have got varying lead times for all their stuff at the moment, ranging from 2 weeks to maybe 8 as they've got to make a lot of it.

Bought an epic bleed kit to bleed the rx4 and non of it fits friggin anything . So gurus whats the two syringes i need with the correct size screw ports ?

Do not use the metal epic bleed kit funnel adapter. Use a nylon official Shimano one.
I paid the price for the over aggressive thread and it destroyed my r8070 lever.

It’s a single syringe and funnel setup for bleeding RX4s. The syringe is the same as a sram / reverb bleed kit. M5 threaded end.

@atz if you’re after some black ones I’m about 6 weeks in lead time wise from ordering. But… they’ll be up for sellz when they do come in. I’ve fallen in love with the Blue ones on my bike so no longer required. Will be RRP + postage. Receipt provided too for warranty if required. Drop me a PM and it’ll remind me to chase up where they are now…

Thanks but I decided to give the local guy the money once I decided I didn't want to go full Radavist and get purple anno addons. Ordered some black ones which will be here in 4-5 weeks

Shimano replacement hoses - anyone know anywhere with these in stock?!

Can you buy a length from your LBS? Any time I've needed new hoses (VERY rare) or cable outers, I tend to just ask the shop to sell me some.

I've got purple hubs on my Tripster wheels purely by accident.

Since I got a dynamo front built though, the front isn't used. If money was no object I'd just replace the rear wheel with a matching black hub and wider rim and then sell off the purple hubbed wheelset.
