As G-Shocks go it’s very manageable I think. The clear case makes it look smaller and it’s actually one of the thinnest G-Shocks ever. IIRC the smaller ladies version is the actual thinnest ever.
Speaking of large G-Shocks, I was going to save this for G-Shock Thursday but hey... new GBX-100. Largest one I own now.
I wasn’t planning on getting this until later in the year at least but I found out they’ve already discontinued this colour (the best one), so my hand was forced...

Pic is not doing the screen on these justice by the way, it is really excellent, loads of contrast and much easier to read than previous models.

Unexpectedly received this today. Wasn’t expecting to able to get another .
1861 sapphire sandwich .
Not a hesalite but still the right movement and £1000 less than its “upgrade”
Please excuse my now obligatory dreadful phone pic.

I fancy wearing something other than a Garmin all the time. I really like the Day-Date aesthetic, what is the general perception of the plethora of 'vintage' Seiko 5's or alternatives (Rado, etc) that can be found online from around the 80s for 50 odd quid? Are they funtional or more of a prop?

Very unusual.

Previous generation seamaster 300 diver just in preowned .
Really mint and with balance of Omega service warranty . Original box and papers.
Really lovely , in these days of monster thick dive watches this is sooooo slim on the wrist.

Strap from PawG squeezed onto my Casio
20mm to 18mm is perfectly possible with a soldering iron to melt out some gaps without it fraying

Happy G-Shock Thursday. I don’t surf but this is what the spring tide is doing at Newquay, apparently.

Thats the 2254, isn’t it? The prices went up quite a bit recently. Great, no nonsense watch.
Well, apart from that valve thing 😂 I guess that’s the Omega identity for you. -

That looks good. Seems much more suffistikated than the standard model. Is it surfer specific? (I think I remember it being so. Really cool if so. Also great colour!)

Yeah, it’s a G-Lide so does tide stuff for surfers. It also has activity tracking, step tracking etc, and Bluetooth link to the Move app for notifications (I’ve not tried this as the app won’t load for me, dunno why). It also has a vibration module for alerts.
It was a totally new model for last year. The module and screen is new, it’s a full dot matrix type with much improved contrast, it’s a bit like a paperwhite kindle but I don’t think it’s MIP - maybe tho. But it means it can have full on menus and stuff, the UI is pretty sophisticated, more like a smartwatch.

The black and white ones are still being made but for some reason they discontinued this colour after only a few months.

Too ahead of your time :)
Is it still live, just tried to add a couple of bits and it bumped me back to the add watch page...?

Such a great colour, didn’t realise it had all-the-toys too.

The midsize version of this is on my grail list. Is this the full size version, and how many £?
