  • More often seen parked outside an industrial unit in Rotherham.

  • Twat is on double yellows ( or a big single yellow I can’t really tell)

  • Lunch time DB4 in Silver. #natch

Nothing like seeing a half a million rolling along...

Also. Best move getting an Italian to style it.

    One might say Quintessential.

  • Grilled fog lights ?

  • Theres one of them parked on my street now. Pretty standard Glasgow outer area, more pricey than some areas but not exactly fancy, barely even the middle TBH, yet they have a Bentley (and a Tesla of some sort), which between them are more than the house, even at inflated covid house prices

  • Ditched the micra, or sold it rather, to an enthusiastic gentleman approximately 20 years of age. Full disclosure about the rust obvs but he seemed unbothered. After a week of trawling found a new pile of junk, albeit slightly less crappy than the micra. A 2011 fiat panda. It’s dented and scratched but very little rust. Well looked after mechanically. Looking forward to gradually fixing it up slightly and hopefully will be able to keep it for a few years. Main projects are rust under paint chips at the front arches, crackles in the headlight clear coat and rusty/oxidised wiper arms.

  • Sanded back and brushed on rust converter. Primer and top coat tomorrow, possibly with some stone chip paint in between. The amount of dirt behind the arch liner!

  • Cycled past one of these up the mountains on a ride recently. Gratuitously wide.

  • Interceptor

That is awesome. Feel certain I’ve seen one not far from my house about a year ago, been wondering what it was!

  • I'd love an Interceptor, one of my dream cars. Needs more money than I have sadly.

  • Do I want to fit mudflaps to stop the paint chipping again? It works on bikes so why don’t cars have these to begin with?

  • Miss my Panda of similar vintage. How's the rear beam? I resprayed my wiper arms once a year, but I believe you may be able to swap with new Fiat 500 ones which are fairly cheap.

  • For the rear beam replacement it is better swap it to the ford KA one, different spring and damper rates as well as a little wider track. Can be cheaper than the 500/panda one.

Are the wiper arms the same as the Ford KA? Lots of parts are the same but sometimes Fiat is cheaper some times Ford.

Does it have a sloppy gear change?

  • I think the rear beam is pretty much ok. Surface rust but nothing major. Think I’ll take it for undercoating at a place here where they do linseed oil and then the gooey stuff.

  • @ me? I don’t plan on replacing anything. Gear changes are fine.

  • Yes, sorry.

The rear beam rust through on the bottom spring cups. Very common failure, mine had failed and that is why I bought it.

The gear change cables wear to the point getting a gear is difficult, another common failure.

  • Spotted this morning while buying bagels.

I then saw it 60 seconds later, the old man behind the wheel pulling a crazy move into a parking space while also cutting right in front of a police car, I think old men in classic cars get a free pass because everyone's mesmerised, whereas old men in super cars get the opposite because everyone's default is hating them.

I then saw it again a few mins after that being reversed into a delivery van on the petrol station forecourt.

    Oops.

  • I've been rolling around on the floor getting the fan out of the Volvo.

The two pictured T25 TORX bolts were an absolute cunt to remove. Had to remove the fan and shroud together to get to those bolts, then heat and mole grips got them off.

  • I assume it's because most cars don't generally run of loose surfaces and spray isn't considered much of an issue. But if you want to go for the full Colin McCrae rally look, then mudguards-a-go-go.

  • ”Over hill into - easy left” etc. Still hear that voice from the first playstation game when I’m driving. Ordered some cheap generic mudflaps off amazon. See if it’s possible to make them fit, no mounts in the area as it is and don’t really feel like drilling the arches. It’s supposed to be a rust preventing operation after all, not the other way around. Maybe u-clips could work?

  • Do you have plastic wheel well liners? Usually they simply use the same attachment points. That's how mine fit and I installed mine 3 weeks ago.

You should be able to find vehicle specific ones if the generics don't fit. Is this for the Nissan you bought?

  • Makes motoring worth while.

What the hell is that spoiler doing?

    Prolly a cattle fender. 😎

  • Roof bars are really confusing me. Raised roof rails, measuring 101cm (inside-to-inside). Do I need a specific width bar, or do the feet allow a little adjustment? Putting my reg into a few sites gives differing info on what bars will work. 🧐
