Despite the obvious issues from both engineering and marketing perspectives, there is still one born every minute and they've raised over $500k to further delay abandonment of the whole stupid idea

Remarkable.
The way the page is set-up it's like a cross between crowd funding and proper business investment, like the worst of both worlds.....
If it were "slip us $1k and you get a party bag with massive jockey wheels & a bottle of lube and perhaps one day you'll get dibs on a pointless biek" that would be one thing, but it's more like "we pocket your cash in return for a share of our probably non-existant business depending on how many future funding rounds we dilute your stake by" -

Or, to put it in a way familiar to users here, exactly the same format as LFGSSers were asked to invest in microcosm š¤£
All share offers are, and always have been, crowd-funding, it's just that in the olden days the crowd was very small and people didn't use the term.

300% longer lifespan than GRX pulley wheels?

*Excludes use in @giofox definition of gravel, shitfromabutt scenarios and on any bike upon which a mechanic that has previous installed jockey wheels the wrong way has worked.
As I was watching the video, I thought about the poor chain wearing twice as fast due to the wider teeth pushing sfab grinding paste through each link

Is there a particular reason why new US patent illustrations look as though they were drawn in 1886?
-
• #1373
and why are they planning to attach it to the frame with a brass window latch with slotted screws?
-
• #1374
My take is that they need to be precise enough to get the actual patent while leaving out as much info as possible so it's harder to copy

These patent illustrations sure are rubbish
It will sell like hot cakes if he can get DuraAce Di2 to play nicely with a 40T sprocket, and replicate the 90s purple anodising šš
