Buy some nazdar and go over the full back it again. One shot chips easy if yiu clean it.
Looks good tho, could you have bought imitation gold? Real gold is never heavy as it only comes in 3 weights and isn’t thick.
As Mansons said handover, Gold leaf supplies or sign supplies Scotland all sell quality gold!

Thanks, I'll check out Nazdar. I was hesitant to go over the back as I don't want to scratch the gold.
I don't remember where I bought the original gold from as it was a long time ago, it definitely wasn't imitation, but may have been gold on base.
The Handover stuff is much better so I'll stick with that.
Took my sweet time getting to this stage but it's done!
I ended up taking off the original gold and buying more from Jackson's. I don't remember where I got the original stuff from, but (without wanting to sound like I'm blaming my tools) it was definitely what held me back. It was thick and had a weird texture to it that meant it it never lay perfectly flat against the glass. The stuff from Jackson's is noticeably much thinner but went on much better.
Don't get me wrong, there's definitely room for improvement - not least on the reverse as the 1 shot is pretty lumpy as I didn't realise it's meant to be thinned before brushing! But for a first attempt I'm pretty happy. Definitely keen to have a crack at something else.
