• Well, slicks was my starting point. So rear grip stays the same (never felt like I needed more), and front grip increases (prevent wheel slide out on the rough stuff).

    Don't they do this on MTBs? Fast rolling tyre on the rear, grippy one on the front.

  • Cool, so I am on the same page, increase the grip at the front, if anything.

    Like the Belgians say, it's not about how much grip you can have, it's about how little you can have.
