@Zed only had a short ride but the tyres were amazing around the woods, felt more confident both on the rough stuff and under braking.
I wanted mezcals but none in stock in 27.5, after looking around these Hutchinsons had what looked a decent tread pattern - read a review which said they there too hard/stiff. I’ve had a lot of issues with tubeless in the past with light weight supple tyres getting cuts that won’t seal, so I actually thought a tougher tyre could work better for me. They’re noticeably stiffer and thicker than peyotes/gravelking/g one all round - I’m taking it as a positive - we’ll see.
I have got a spare set of 700 wheels I was thinking about trying with 700x42, or bigger if they’ll go in. One thing I’m thinking though is 38x11 is going to be a bit spinny for faster mixed surface rides, I’m going to do a few commutes and see how I get on. (Commute is 50/50 woods and tarmac)
Finished the all city, feels like it’s going to be a lot of fun.
That’s my bike buying done for a while.
