I think that bedroom furniture is just trickier to design in a way that suits lots of people’s needs. It’s why the customisable Vitsoe style stuff is popular bc it can be adapted to all types of requirements. Beds and tables are all pretty much of a muchness size and shape wise.
Someone like Jon Grant does nice stuff - think he did a black Valchromat wardrobe a while ago that looked mint. Or something in Richlite
Sure, a table/chair is easier to update- Cheaper to make new designs etc. We have old built in wardrobes in bedrooms that a simple coat of paint and handle change have worked. Probably just get another old Stag or the like chest of draws to do the folded stuff.
