  • Personally I think they look good in staged photos but really not sure they’re in anyway practical (dust, uv, changeable temps, moths etc) and that in real life they’re likely to look a mess.

    I do agree that it’s hard to find nice wardrobes - probably a custom build jobbie

  • That’s what I think, love the idea nightmare in reality, our cat would probably see it as a climbing frame also.

    Every modern day chest of drawers just doesn’t look good either. Think custom wardrobe and some vintage draws maybe the way to go.

    Funny that tables, chairs and beds seem to be constantly designed well and updated but draws and wardrobes just aren’t

  • I think that bedroom furniture is just trickier to design in a way that suits lots of people’s needs. It’s why the customisable Vitsoe style stuff is popular bc it can be adapted to all types of requirements. Beds and tables are all pretty much of a muchness size and shape wise.

    Someone like Jon Grant does nice stuff - think he did a black Valchromat wardrobe a while ago that looked mint. Or something in Richlite
