Exactly the same here. I was running the Spirit and NXR (Still have the NXR, weight is unbeaten) but recently went for an XD4 for the other bike and I couldn't be happier.
Fit is just spot on.
However, after running it all winter, I can say the build quality of the soft bits is more resilient on the Shoei.
Anything hard is better on the Arai.IOM looks nice. At least it's not a 46...

Tried some helmets on yesterday evening. I was initially set on Shoei as I had a good experience with their helmets before. This time around however, the Arai actually fit better than the Shoei.
Tried a number of brands, Shoei, Arai, AGV & HJC.
Eventually came down to the Shoei X-Spirit III vs the Arai RX-7V and I favored the Arai, unfortunately enough for my wallet. I have yet to make a decision but I'm really digging this one, which is last year's IoM limited edition.
