I have a squeak in my rear wheel that I can’t locate or fix. It occurs when the wheel is rotating with and without the freewheel engaged and only when the bike is being ridden. The sound increases in frequency with acceleration of the wheel. It doesn’t occur with the bike in the stand.
So far I have:
Confirmed that no part of the tyre or wheel are rubbing on the frame or brake anywhere.
The sound is the same with or without the freehub engaged and doesn’t change during engagement. Also the freehub bearings were changed about four weeks ago. I’ve removed the cassette and freehub and can’t see where anything could be rubbing to cause the friction that would make that sound.

The hub is an Easton R4.
Does anyone have an idea what it could be?
