It was too short. Not enough travel for various chainring/cog combos. And the mechanism for tensioning was in the way for the single speed kit on the wheel.
And once painted the brass parts and stainless slider didn't fit the dropout. Might have been fixed now. Mine was the very first prototype dropouts

Hey, if I remember correctly you had Bear horizontal dropouts on your SSCX but didn't like them in the end? Why was that? Because I'm thinking of getting some. Thanks!
