As soon as my current drivetrain wears out (probably about a month given the mixture of mud and chalk dust it's been subjected to) I'm going to make it even less fashionable and put a front mech on Not regretting the cheap dropper post I added either.

Kill it with fire.

What's that Finglass to Strathyre section like? I've done the Finglass lollipop loop a few times.

On the west side of Loch Lubnaig is easy going National Cycle Network gravel paths, and on the other side is forestry and landy through Glen Ample. The Glen Ample bit is amazing and is on The Badger Divide.

Mint, might just rob that route off ya n start in Kilmahog or something.

Callander to Killin is all on National Cycle and is super nice. If you’re up by Killin I strongly recommend the old hydro road into Glen Lyon, lunch at the Post Office and then loop back on the Ben Lawers road. It’s a road loop and it’s pretty punchy, but it’s superb.

Pretty stock build so nothing fancy and ignore the saddle. It rattled loose on the South Downs Way and has been fixed.

https://www.wiggle.co.uk/vitus-substance-srs-2-adventure-road-bike-grx-600-202The way the fork is twice the size of the seat tube is really upsetting, throws the visual balance off of what otherwise looks to be a nice bike
-

Surprised they didn't go with a fork with more mounts also? And only two bottle cage mounts on the frame. Feels a bit half-hearted for an 'adventure' bike.
-
• #18612
The fork always gonna be bigger than the seat tube tho? Like seat tube are naturally skinny.
Do you mean the shape of the fork?
-
• #18613
Vitus looks really smart. Best bang for buck, surely.
-
• #18614
You'll never have a carbon fork and a 27.2 tube the same size. If anything that's less wide than others.

Would actually bang

i pray every day that the woods cyclery does not go out of business/ run out of exported london money as it's the closest thing to a proof of concept to my ideal, modern , lifestyle based bike shop

i of course, buy absolutely nothing from them and continue to prop up spa cycles and sjs

They are also nice folk

My All-City came from them. Helpful and a pleasure to deal with, couldn't recommend them enough.

The way that is locked seems like it would take one chunk from the D-lock to nick the whole thing. Or is that how those extension cables are supposed to be used?

More or less. Stops an opportunist running off with your wheels. Not much more you can do with a single lock.
I suggested riding a mountain with a dope fridge as a good thing. Fucking touchy zoomers feeling low-ratio anxiety >>>
