  • Thanks!

Did you sand by hand or with the rotary?

  • By hand (podcast of your choice optional but recommended)

  • What is in the Meguiars kit?

  • Did you use any block/foam or just your hands?

  • Well just as I was getting really fond of the old micra it spits in my face. Always nice to have easy access to the underside of the carpet I guess... Now to decide whether to drive it over the summer and then scrap it, or sell it on immediately at half of what I paid a few weeks ago and get something else. None of the rusty spring mount bits are available and would have to be fabricated so welding it up isn’t really an option sadly.

  • I had a little run into Kent and a pub lunch at the Blacksmiths Arms with my daughter and boyfriend, steak and kidney pudding all round.
Had a bit of knocking half way and discovered some loose wheel nuts!

  • That must be such fun. Love the idea of floating round in that in the sun

  • Better pics of the Clio after a wash, polish, wax... will stop banging on about it now. Drop me a PM if you're interested.

  • some scotchbrite type abrasives and a spray on sealer.

  • Finally pulled it out the van and squeezed in. Feels lethal - brakes not functioning at all, possibly a good thing as it puts the kibosh on an illicit test drive...

  • That looks like mega fun and also curse you, I'm now going to spend the morning looking up ads for go-karts...

  • the luggage rack looks handy

  • Karting is like Horse Racing.

U need to be a midget.

  • Can’t believe what a squeeze the seat is. As my mate observed, handy to keep the poo from leaving your bottom quite so rapidly.

  • Is that cali legal?

  • My old boss has one. It was originally owned by Ginger Baker who totalled it in Africa on some sort drug enduced safari.

It looks lovely. Leaks petrol like a siv tho...

  • I'm wating for the dealer to register the car in UK so I can take it for a spin.
Its a selespeed which could be interesting as opinion on Alfa owners is split. Would be nice to get this cleaned up though.

  • Also sold my E61 today to a top end geezer called Nige from Swindon. Didn't do too bad on resale.

  • That’s a lovely looking engine bay.

I’m waiting for my Pad Thai to be ready.

  • tut tut

  • Wonder if the 3.2 is that much more than the 3l 24v cloverleaf.

Have a couple of sets of the rockers and inlet that I am going to make in to glass covered tables as I think it looks pretty.

  • Every needs to own an Alfa at some point .... last one I had was a 145 1.7 16V back in the late 90's.

Loved it and it ran like a dream until one day , having picked it up from the local Alfa dealer after a service . Less than a mile down the road and all the lights come on , the windscreen wipers start moving on their own , the alarm goes off and then smoke starts coming out of the bonnet.......

Dealer reckoned it was nothing to do with his mechanics and that my driving was at fault .

Still I'd have another alfa , my old mans had a few and is currently in a Giulia which I reckon is more fun to drive than my 340i.

  • a real looker. those alloys are ace

  • Every needs to own an Alfa

    True.

What happened to make the 147 do that.
