How much was it before?
I thought £2000 was the ridiculous price everyone was referring to.
-
• #28
Hahaha what??? 2000 wasn't the original ridiculous price???

You will definitely get more for this bike by selling it as separate frame and forks and components - especially if the components are new and not even fitted.
But you will not get £2000 for everything even if you list them all really well on ebay.

Tbc thanks. And people, tbh I am in no rush I imagine it will bite eventually. The price sounds ridiculous but actually I'm nearly breaking even so its hard to justify in my head lol. Plus ive never ridden it...
again I am all for negotiations ;)

I'm nearly breaking even
In the real world, second hand goods are usually worth less than new ones, unless they are unusually rare and sought after.
-
• #33
A bike shop owning friend of mine has a rule of thumb that a second hand bike is worth half what you paid for it new.
-
• #34
So op, if you want to get as much back as possible I’d part it out.
-
• #35
half what you paid
Yeah, I'd go with that for something up to 5 years old in good nick, with the proviso that it's not what you paid for it, it's what a smart person would have paid for it at the time. I'd have been annoyed with myself if I'd paid over £1500 for what's on offer here, assuming the wheels were that wrecked when I bought them and everything else was new.

it was between £2200-2400 I'm fairly sure haha, something in me wants to say £2295 but can't say for certain.

Cheers guys, you all have fair points however as mentioned ive never ridden it plus I had no means of selling it until recently where I now have to let it go.
I have definitely tilted on this platform ;), apologies in advance.

Original price was £2400... I remember nearly chocking on my lunch this morning when I saw it.

• #40
...negotiations? ;)
-
• #41
negotiations?
Why would anybody waste their time? Your starting position is so unrealistic that people are just going to look elsewhere.

Fair price. If you end up splitting your bedroom build, I'll take the walls.

Dibs frame if he splits the mattress from the bed frame

lunch? morning?

lunch? morning?
You're on firmer ground with "chocking". Some (mostly posh, English) people think morning goes on until tea time, i.e. all the hours during which one would wear morning dress.

Interested in frame and forks pending reasonable pricing
Apologies, I over saw the fees. New price £2000 all in.
