  • Unless yours has been modified?
It came with triple cable routing over the top tube and a cable stop on the back of the seat tube

  • Ok ye it's just the same routing as it came with.

So can I use the pulley to convert it to top pull?

  • Do you want top pull or a regular road FD?

Either run the inner cable from the seat tube stop straight into the derailleur from above or use a band on pulley near the BB and run the cable down and around that so it comes back up to the FD from beneath like it would on a normal road frame
Depends how the FD you’ve got works

  • Cheers. I like the idea of being able to remove them quickly when there not needed.

  • I don't have the FD yet but I think I would prefer normal road to make it easier.

If you do have that pulley I would be keen. I have a 25c gatorskin in my cupboard if you didn't find one yet, maybe we could negotiate a deal.

  • Post-pandexit may be my new favourite word.

I know what you mean. Although when my friends have wanted to get into cycling they want something lighter and flashier and don't see the appeal of steel sadly.

  • Picked this rust bucket up today; never noticed how bad it was but cost £150 so it’ll get run into the ground or stripped and treated, etc.

Anyone know what size bottom bracket/crank and forks it has, please?

  • Just finished my new commuter. It’s an old Day One I had powder coated at Armourtex. Just waiting for some decals to arrive.

  • Oooo I thought they could only do fades with powder. Do you have a close up of the transitions?

Looks cool too by the way!

  • What a build that is, brilliant commuter

  • BB will probably be a BSA threaded? 68mm x 103mm maybe? those look like Sugino Messenger cranks. 1 1'8 steel fork no?

  • Nice paint, I had a very similar build to yours before

  • Nice execution.

  • The lines aren’t as crisp as I’d like. But it’s just a commuter so I’m not that fussed.

  • Couldn't resist the enormous 2.8 g ones for summer. You'll get your time race kings eventually...

  • That looks like great fun.

  • Very nice.

New Restrap bar bag? Looks bigger than I presumed, what are your thoughts on it?

  • new fork and front rack

  • Yeah I like it. It's pretty solid and a good size for day trips. I wouldn't have minded a little phone pocket on the top under the bungees for easy access. I also added extra spacers to now fowl the brake cables too.

  • Thinking about joining the gang (again), does anyone happen to have one of the latest equilibrium frames? I'm interested to know whether the decals are under the lacquer or just stuck on (thus making them easier to remove).

  • Thanks. I've been tempted with it for a while but wanted to see what it looked like installed.

Think I'm going to pull the trigger.

  • Yeah I really like it. Took it on the SDW today and it's perfect for snacks, camera, spare coat, cheese straws etc

  • cheese straws

    👀

  • Thinking of buying a CDA20 for my wife, it looks like decent value at £850 as I can’t find many other big tyre bikes below a grand. Anyone here got one? Happy with it?

  • I was looking at a CDA for my wife but wasn’t that impressed by the spec/£

I reckon I’ll order a Sonder Camino when they re-stock in a couple of weeks.
