  • St Mary Cray Station
  • Yep, covid jab aftershock permitting. No tarck next Thursday.

  • No objection my side, I'll likely still go out for a ride on a similar route tonight as long as the weather holds. Happy to join next week too.

  • Ok, sorry to be lame mate, but as I'm still trying to confirm childcare (and it's now hailing outside) it's probably best if I officially swerve tonight and avoid a frantic ride across London in rush hour! Have a good one if you do get out..

  • I’m a no for tonight, but will be there on Wednesday next week.

  • Firm maybe, Ikea depending, for Wednesday.

  • 21st April Off-Week Kentish Chicken Redux

I'm in for next Wednesday as an off-week repeat of tonights route.

    1) YAL
    2) @TTM (if he has to catsit tonight)
    3) @Skülly ?
    4) @Ruserius ?
    5) @Tenners ? (pending blood bag)

I’m still very keen for this. Will it be a 7pm depart?

  • Yep I should be able to make that. Might be 7:05ish

  • Very much playing by ear. Had my AZ jab yesterday, mostly feeling OK but headaches seem to be ... incipient.

Will post here if I'm coming.

  • Augh, half way through worst work week. Unless something changes it's looking unlikely I'll make it now. If an IKEA excuse is needed, have broken both my bottle cages (true story).

  • I can't leave work until 6pm now @TTM so can we say 7:20ish start?

  • Out. Work taking over my life. Have fun.

  • Good riding! Sorry I faded a bit at there at the end, fatigue just jumped up and got me.

Made the the train in plenty of time but not the Wetherspoons, must have just missed the bell. Sad.

  • Good to see you. I enjoyed that and hope to make some more.

  • Top content. Feels like a very long time since I did that, was nice to be eased in with a small group. Thankfully all the hats/buffs/gillets/armwarmers I panic packed came in handy! Borderline winter conditions, I'm no hardman. Route good but man, more potholes than I ever remember.

Amey will have to do the next one au Fixe or else

  • Super ride, perfect company. Bit cold.

    Thanks @TTM for harvesting #content

This will have to be a train TNRC not a ride out.

  • I agree. As my confidence has grown from when I first started riding TNRCs I am much happier with longer distances and riding at night. But it can be easy to lose sight of what a good idea TNRC is, which is to skip bullshit traffic via train and enjoy the lanes. Imo train out and ride back is a great middle ground. St Paul's Cray road on the way out and through Chislehurst was pure misery.

Won't wash, IKEA don't do bottle cages, I've checked.

  • St Paul's Cray road on the way out and through Chislehurst was pure misery.

But how can riding your fixie ever be 'pure misery'?
