I agree. As my confidence has grown from when I first started riding TNRCs I am much happier with longer distances and riding at night. But it can be easy to lose sight of what a good idea TNRC is, which is to skip bullshit traffic via train and enjoy the lanes. Imo train out and ride back is a great middle ground. St Paul's Cray road on the way out and through Chislehurst was pure misery.
