Instagram contest “Visit Mexico”, win 1 year of all expenses paid travel

The Mexican Government is jointly organising this Instagram contest, where the winner and their +1 get approx £1800/month for travel and lodging around Mexico for a year (hopefully next year when covid dies down).

It’s free to enter, participants can be any nationality but have to be 18 or older and posting their own pics from an Instagram account that they own. There’s apparently no limit to the number of submissions.

If you’re a photographer or travel writer, you might be Ok. People get fired all the time anyway and for worse trade-offs.

I’m sure you could convince a local watch shop to lend you a nice timepiece on the condition that they’re discreetly featured in your best trip photos.

Peddle the platform, that’s the influencer way.

I don't understand. You have to show a picture you took in Mexico, to win the chance to take more pictures in Mexico?

What's in it for the many people they're trying to entice to Mexico who haven't been?
