It’s proper weird weather, a couple of plants I thought had been frost bitten were actually thirsty, where’s all the April showers? No rain forecast here until May, bizarre.
For the sake of my marriage I’ve taken the gamble and moved all our seedlings into the unheated greenhouse 🤞

Lawns! How do you breath life into them and make them all plush and juicy? Puncture a load of holes and scatter seed? Does lawn feed work?
Your secrets please.

Scarify, weed and feed, overseed, starter feed, lots of water and wait.

My secret is to get a jolly nice chap called Oliver to lay new turf and then tell him it's his responsibility to keep it looking nice. He and his father Stephen are doing a jolly good job of it so far. And I don't need to own a lawnmower. Win win.
My only involvement is to keep covering the lawns with an extensive variety of cat-repellent to try and stop them from crapping all over the grass.

Would anyone like this greenhouse? Collection from SW14. I’m happy to help dismantle it

Hmmm ... :)

Label EVERYTHING as you take it apart, then label the labels.

Ha, good spot, it’s not at all, it’s West facing.

Will you let the draw bridge down for collection?

If you need advice on stump grinding give me a shout. I did it commercially for longer than I care to remember.
Prob about £90/day to rent a baby Rayco which most hss tend to have in store. They’re good to about 6” below surface and will handle 12” diameter if you put the time in. -

Similar here, it still crops up every now and then.
The only thing to do is to kill it: kill it with fire...

I'll have a chat with the cat, but don't think he's keen, sorry

I also got a box of various Hepatica nobilis on a whim. I have no idea what to do with them. Any suggestions?

They look great. I've got 16 seedlings that I got from a mate and they're taking forever to become established.

I planted some ranunculus corns last year in pots. They never really took off and the stems kind of rotted away.
I transferred what remained to the garden and I'm being blessed with the first flower.

Good idea getting a couple of different colours, my mums have all cross pollinated and now there are loads of unique plants.
-
• #6171
Once they find their feet they self seed pretty well so you’ll be swimming in Hellebores.

Ah, I didn't know that could happen. I have two in the front garden, which I've neglected a bit, but they haven't produced any offspring.

Hopefully, it's my first time growing them and I'm a nervous parent :)

Here are the Hepatica. They look rather delicate. I'm thinking maybe plant them in a big trough?

Does anyone have recommendations for someone based southeast who does garden work? We've been messed about by a company and now we need someone else to come finish the job.
We need a drainage layer of type one and shingle on top of clay, tiles laid, a small wall built and a small staircase created.
Ta!
@aggi just from a local nursery - I'm sure you'll be able to find similar near to you
