Any suggestions for pubs in Crystal Palace? I've only been to the Faber Fox which isn't a great pub but has a nice view of the city.

There’s the alma, which grace dent did a good write up of in the guardian a couple of months back
https://www.theguardian.com/food/2021/may/14/the-alma-pub-crystal-palace-london-se19-restaurant-review-grace-dent?CMP=Share_iOSApp_OtherAcross the way from them there’s the white hart
And if you walk back towards the high street, main drag there’s the sparrow hawk on the corner.
I like the white hart and the sparrowhawk, never been to the alma..

Ended up going to The Alma. It was nice enough inside but nothing special, the covered garden was great though!

how was the food?
glad it didn't disappoint too much. -

Extremely late reply, sorry! We didn't eat there, went to Yard Sale for pizza which was excellent.
Where's good for a pint around Camden? I'm meeting some friends who are off to Underworld for a gig so ideally close by. It's been a long time since I went for a drink round there, I think the only pub I can remember liking is The Hawley Arms.

Talk of a group weekend walk in Epping. Any decent food serving, kid/dog friendly pub recommendations? Walking route still TBC and subject to pub choice.

We ended up in the Owl at the top of Lippits Hill last year. Kid and dog friendly, massive menu (it was a Sunday, they were doing roasts, BBQ, a la carte and pizzas) but actually alright food if chosen wisely. Big too.

Where should I head to for a couple of pre dinner drinks near Green Park? Me and the wife made the mistake of being curious about ‘Sexy Fish’ last time we wandered around there. Awful place. Just looking for a pub or two that we can stand outside.

The Grenadier is about 20min walk away but I'm sure there are nearer decent options north and south of Piccadilly. Chequers Tavern has perching space in the alley outside, The Clarence looks ok, Kings Arms looks spacious.

Any recommendations for a bar/club (in the loosest sense, we're 40 year old blokes with kids) with a late licence and some form of live music on a Saturday night (not a gig, more backgroundish but not too backgroundish). Preferably North/Central or a little East.
Blues Kitchen was my thought but interested in other suggestions, I'm pretty out of touch.

Pub suggestions in Spitalfields for pre/post-dinner drinks. Used to work near the Pride of Spitalfields but that was a few years back. Anywhere else worth considering??

Commercial Tavern/Ten Bells, both on Commercial Street. Duke Of Wellington if you want a more old school/tucked off the main street one.

Duke Of Wellington is a great shout, many thanks!
The Dacre Arms is a cracking pub.
