  • For a simple grey faced watch I like the nNorquain adventure sport.

I know some of the guys at Norqain and a couple of their sponsored athletes. I've been following their progress for a while now. Why am I saying this? Your post is the first time I have seen somebody express a like for one of their watches in English and not German.

I'd be curious to know what people think about the brand. They have spent so much money on marketing and brand positioning its unreal.

I see what you mean btw, its nice!

  • Yeah. Hate to be a debbie downer but this looks like it'll date incredibly quickly. Looks like a £400 micro brand with a Miyota movement.

  • I'm not a fan of what they make or the approach they are taking to do it so no need to be polite :D

Norqain is heavily linked to Breitling, in that the family who owned Breitling for 30+ years have a controlling stake. I suspect the family name is why they've been able to raise so much money for sponsorships, marketing and PR.

Can also confirm that they are made in a workshop that make watches for at least ten other brands. Probably mostly microbrands.
