That's a good shout. Obviously not a replacement for skx but I really want Dov's LHD, I wear my watch on the right and was eyeing up the pelagos a lot a while ago in a previous career (life) when I was more flush. Currently that cash is better sitting in the bank I feel.

Anyway squeezed a 1mm too big strap onto this just to get it on my wrist and it's given me a big smile, the hour markers in particular the 4 really do it for me.

Looks great. The size is just right on your wrist. Class.

Popped a modified nato on the sharkie then drove to the Suffolk coast to take a pic (apple keyboard just out of shot)

I went and checked out the new 3861 Moonwatch earlier and on balance I think it’s an improvement over the previous model, IMHO. The case is quite different. It looks chunkier from the side (taller flanks) even though it’s thinner overall, but the dial is nicely done. It’s a lot less flat looking than the old one. I also like the bracelet a lot, it feels thin and light - some might say cheap - but I think it suits the watch nicely.

Agree with pretty much all this, I like the bracelet for sure. Think maybe they should have kept the previous seconds hand though, as I think having the arrow section slightly further back and then tapering down to the marker more, is better. Maybe just budge it back a tad but not as far as the old model.

I find it sits much nicer on the wrist, part bracelet, thinner case, beveled caseback.
Dial wise, i'm not a huge fan of the larger fonts (omega speed pro etc) and the less second lines somehow make the dial busier.Overall i'm happy with it and definitely an improvement over the old one.

I think they made the lines thicker, which makes them more noticeable / busier looking.

Had a look at the Zenith below today. Lovely size and bracelet. Not sure why one would buy a speedmaster at this sort of price point?

That is really lovely .
Quite a bit more than those new Tudor ones , but it looks better to me -

Watching Meet The Khans and they just bought the kid a rose gold daytona for his first birthday, mind boggling

When I’m in hell, this is the kind of tv they’ll make me watch.

for his first birthday
Did I just read that right?!

More fun than a junior ISA I guess

Yep, you read that right, wonder what the other kids at nursery think

I can’t deal with a date at 4:30. That’s a dealbreaker for me personally.
-
• #54297
The shadow version doesn’t have the date but as before on here the tach scale is weiiiird
-
• #54298
It's just that there's no minute track on it, so you can't use the chronograph to actually measure elapsed seconds accurately. Still hoping for a no-date edition without that goof.

Dipped my toes with a Chinese Milanese rather than plunging in with a proper Squale one. Of course I didn't realise they weren't resizable, but a Dremel fixed that.
Very hefty but I'm a fan of the a e s t h e t i c though probably not sufficiently to go official.

ooh, I like that watch.
Trying to find a matt blue divers watch that is less than £££ is proving difficult
(Champagne tastes, lemonade money)
That ceramic Captain Cook is cracking. Shame it’s not a bit smaller.
