Are there any front rack bags that can be carried like a backpack off the bike? I have an ILE bag which is brilliant but I'm now riding with my 1 year old baby so lugging the bag and the baby around when we're off the bike is a faff. I know I could just bodge a backpack on the rack but I'm hoping there's a better solution.

I think any bag that's designed to play nicely with a rack will probably be a sub-par backpack. Wald basket on the rack and a cargo net for securing backpack would get my vote.

Yeah, you're probably right and it might be the way I go but I'd rather not have a basket if possible as I still want to be able to use my ILE bag when not carting the kiddo about.
