Hope they checked the cat had a microchip before they adopted it!
Bit close to home thats all, my cat ended up in the back of a builders van and was taken to Mile End from Wapping. This was a Friday, builder knocked on my door and told me on Monday (he knew the cat was mine). When the driver opened up the van he apparently legged it and was never seen again, despite me riding down most nights shaking a box of his dried food for a couple of weeks around the area last seen but never found him.
Over a year later the vet called and told me he'd been found run over somewhere in Mile End. Meaning someone must've adopted him and not checked his chip (also removed his collar, name tag with phone number).
He was great!
Oh I am sorry. That sucks! But whoever adopted him basically stole him? I kind of understand not bothered to check microchip but if he had a collar with your number then it was obvious!
He looks very cat in the pic! I am so sorry you lost him.
It's the collar bit that makes me mad. Even now, a few years later. So many questions and what ifs. We were devastated at the time.
Just hope he was looked after and was happy for the last year of his life
