  • Should mention that I've already got a pair of GP5000's that are about 6k old and still holding up - so i view them as a safe bet. My thinking is that if i'm going to spend c.£80 on new tyres, I don't want to get them just for the trip, and i'd like to try something new

  • anything else would be downgrade

  • I have conversely found that my GP 5000s wear much quicker than the 4000s and they've not got much left after 2000 miles.

    I've got some Michelin Power Tubeless on my other bike and really rate them. Super easy to mount, quick, comfy and incredibly hard wearing they've done over 4000 miles and are barely worn.
