Having been overtaken by speeding men in ven on a blind corner I really empathise. They did it right as another driver was casually making their way round said corner - cue screeching brakes swerving and my friend riding straight into the ditch to avoid getting knocked over. Once they realised no one had died they drove off.

I've finally got off my arse and started cycling rather than driving the 70km round trip to work near Redhill. Really enjoying it so far, spending an hour and a half on the bike each way beats sitting in traffic for an hour. It takes me about half an hour to get out of London and then it's an an hour or so of mostly nice quiet lanes like the one below. There's plenty of options to vary the route as well. Only downside is dealing with angsty men in ven hurtling past on blind bends.
