• That's exactly the kind of stuff I'm running through my shredder. All that lot would easily go in a single wheelie bin once shredded. £70 for a shredder if it saves you much compared to getting someone in.

  • Thats good to know - we just had our green waste collected and the absolute legends who are our refuse team not only emptied the brown bin but also the two ton bags full of hedge. I think I can fit most of the rest of it into that again and hope they take that again in two weeks...

waiting for quotes, if its not too much considering I'd need to rent a stump grinder and shredder or just take a lot of my time I'll probably just go for it. There's two dead fruit trees that I could also get them to remove too.

  • It's definitely a balance. For me, it would probably have been at least 4 figures to clear all the shit I've got so the shredder and DIY option was a much more compelling option. If it was a few hundred, I would have thrown money at the problem.

  • If you need advice on stump grinding give me a shout. I did it commercially for longer than I care to remember.
Prob about £90/day to rent a baby Rayco which most hss tend to have in store. They’re good to about 6” below surface and will handle 12” diameter if you put the time in.
