I'm not convinced by this bamboo chat. My brother spent 2 years getting rid of it from his back garden.

I think planted and maintained properly it can work - you need to thin it right at ground level to keep it from bulking out. Failure to do so can lead to issues

Similar here, it still crops up every now and then.

The only thing to do is to kill it: kill it with fire...
