The Bristol wave? Would be interested to know how that goes. My brother and I disagree on whether it's worth it. I say its predominantly onshore because of its orientation (epic fail), so even on the "pro" mode will rarely produce a barrel, so might as well surf onshore Saunton all afternoon. He reckons it'll be fun anyway, cos machine and constant fun.
Its probably I'm just jealous of other countries' setups which are so much better with exactly the same tech.
Should be offshore on Friday tho. -
I can see the river by Harrods from where I am - up in the tower in Charing Cross hospital! Glorious day to be on the water, I used to row there when I was at school. They used to joke that you would have to have your stomach pumped if you fell in, but apparently the water is actually quite safe...

Oh no! I’ve fallen in more times than I care to remember. Self rescue is impressive. I’m itching to get my single off the rack but it’s been so long and I’m nervous I’ve forgotten. Went out in an 8 the other morning with a load of people I’ve been rowing with on and off for YEARS and though we weren’t speedy it was smooth as silk.
Back to rowing day 1 today, back out in a scull felt amazing. Then caught a crab outside Harrods’ repository, and went in.
Self-rescued and carried on.
Feel a little queasy now- hopefully just psychosomatic.
May do a day trip to “the wave” on Friday if everything lines up right.
