Raaaaad. You gonna do routes again by any chance? Always enjoyed your route choices.

So you and C have matching bikes now too?
Hope to ride with you soon!
Also- very jealous indeed. -

Awesome. Really need to get back into the whole pedalling thing, so looking forward to it.
You running 130mm 34's?
-
• #307
thanks.
yes, exactly. but the rest of the bike is a little unusual, it's more for day rides than my cotic which is still the best bikepacking bike I can imagine for me.
I'll post more soon. -

I think an adventure is called for.

Ooh I'm not working! Held.

• #315
Noiiiice. Yeah should be able to take time off for that. What's minimum requirement for self sufficiency?

then I hit a big boing and the pads did a bigger boing, right out of the brake
hurtling down the jump line with no front brake was scary to say the least
went for a tea and bread pudding and made a plan of action
somehow managed to find all four pads in the leaves
ray mears style fix works better than the OG magura design

Does that only work with organic pads?
-
• #321
Yeah if you use the four separate pads rather than the combined jobby that comes with the MT5 you need the retaining screws...
Creative solution though!

buy BB7s to go with those lush XTR 950 levers I've had in the parts bin for years
Strong combo! It's wild how much the levers are going for on eBay these days or I'd run them on every bike I could.

Is there a thread about this intriguing Isen/Kona collab?!
And from this and Dammit's Magura woes, are they to be avoided at all costs? Not that I'm considering any, BB7s for life

this is the thread, i'll trickle the details out over time
my maguras (same model, trail sport) on the cotic are so good once I finally got them working, lovely delivery of power and modulation. however the only time I found a mechanic who was great and capable with them he lived in a medium-sized polish city, not too practical.
@platypus nice! Are you keeping the cotic?
