I agree, but to be fair he's won three chippers in a row, and that's made everyone feeling chipper.

Looks like Cav has won 7 stages previously at the Tour of Turkey before, a confidence booster.
Maybe Algarve for him if he's not going to the Giro?

Is a resurgent Cav really anywhere near an on form Bennett? ADSA insight on this?

the closest metaphor for this is the fishing industry and brexit. Cav is fishing industry.

I can't see Cav being anywhere near Bennett (or Ewen or Demare or WVA) in a straight up drag sprint. He is flipping wiley though and can win without having to rely on Morkov. On current form they'd be silly to bring Cav to the Tour but there is still time for Cav to prove his worth by beating some more big guns.

I’d be more concerned about Cav making it through a grand tour. He seems OK in these one-day chippers, but over 21 days including mountains?

With age comes endurance perhaps?

I swear Cavendish has had a face lift or something recently. He looks very odd in these recent photos from Turkey.

Because it’s Cav they should allow him an ebike change for the climbs.

He’s going to end up pro cycling’s Mickey Rourke, isn’t he.

Heard the Pidcock interview with Mitch Docker. I thought he seemed quite likeable. Got the impression he just loves riding his bike and doesn’t feel a great deal of pressure.

^Lanterne Rouge had him on back in January just before he joined Ineos and he was just throwing out his weight and power numbers in the Euro TT in the autumn, 6.5 w/kg for 32 minutes even before Ineos got their hands on him.

In theory sprinting out of the saddle and dancing on the pedals is also banned.
