i think we had the same (in multiple places) in our flat, i guessed they're the old iron gas pipes.
I failed with a multi-tool - ended up having to use an angle grinder (which still took a surprisingly long time), but mine wasn't in a corner like that (hence why whoever cut it left it cut at that point i'd guess).
I'd guess a multi-tool will take plenty of time and plenty of blades.
I’ve got a decommissioned pipe hanging out the corner of my ceiling.
I’ve got a decent bike toolbox but not a lot else. Any ideas on how I’d go about sawing this off? Drill it to bits maybe?!?
God it looks even worse close up.
