2wd the old classics will be fun, but the sand viper/holiday buggy is a better chassis (DT-02). If you can find them the DT03 (fighter buggy etc) are great value for money.
4wd the world is your oyster at the mo, any of them will be fun, but the TT-02B has the lowest ride height as it’s based on a touring car. Good value though.
Hi, I just stumbled upon this thread - will have to go back to the first page and read it all :D
Last weekend I had such a blast playing with a mates 2010 Holiday Buggy (he had just upgraded it to a 540 motor) and it was so much fun - fast, but it also handled superbly (on loose gravel). Was doing donuts and drifts for ages. Massive smile factor!!
Since then I've been checking ebay/fb marketplace etc for Tamiya stuff. Could anybody recommend an off-road buggy? Maybe a Frog or Grasshopper or Holiday buggy/Sand viper?
